Numato 16 Relay breakout module is a smart choice for controlling higher current loads from your microcontroller development board, PC parallel port or your favourite Arduino. This board has sixteen on-board relays which can switch up to 10A. All relay terminals (C, NC, NA) are accessible through screw terminals which makes wiring up the board very easy. The relays are driven by popular darlington array ULN2803. Relay coil is rated for 12VDC.

Relay quality
Hi, just wondering about the quality of the relays??
Relay Type
Are these SPST or SPDT relays?
Re:Relay Type
These are SPDT relays.
How much current is required
How much current is required to trigger the relays? Can this be hooked directly to the gpio boards that you sell?
Re:How much current is required
All relays are driven by relay drive onboard IC. So only a couple of milliamps should be sufficient to turn on the relays. A GPIO board can be used to activate the relays.
Maximum current permitted
I think that PCB pattern width is too narrow to pass an electric current of 10A with this board.
Re:Maximum current permitted
We have tested some tracks randomly by connecting 2000W load at approximately 200V AC. All tracks handled the current really well , the tracks aren't even warming up.
PC Interface
How do I interface it with my pc parallel port?
Re:PC Interface
You can connect parallel port outputs to the inputs of the relay controller board directly. Some information about parallel port interfacing can be found at http://retired.beyondlogic.org/spp/parallel.pdf
